ICT Infrastructure: Governor Fintiri Waves Fee

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the reduction of Right of Way fees from 100 Naira to zero kobo.

The decision is aimed at fostering a conducive environment for the development of Information and Communication Technology infrastructure as well as the promotion of digital inclusion across Adamawa State.

The Governor has therefore directed the Ministry of Justice, Board of Internal Revenue and the Special Adviser ICT, e-Governance and Policy to ensure they collaborate with the office of the Secretary to the State Government to initiate the process of amendment of the relevant Law with the House of Assembly to remove the Right of Way fees.

“The strategic move is aimed at attracting investment in ICT infrastructure, stimulate economic growth, and enhance access to high-speed internet services for the benefit of all citizens of Adamawa State”.

The Secretary to the State Government, Awwal Tukur, is to supervise the process.
