Communique Issued at the End of the Meeting of PDP Governors’ Forum Held in Abuja on Wednesday, 17th April, 2024.

The PDP Governors’ Forum held a meeting under the leadership of H.E Governor Bala Mohammed, CON, at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja on Wednesday 17th April, 2024.

2. The meeting deliberated on various issues of interest and concern to the Forum and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and issued the following Communiqué:


i. The meeting reviewed recent developments in the Peoples Democratic Party and urged the National Working Committee of the Party to set in motion the machinery to conduct credible congresses in all the States where tenures of Party officers have expired. 

ii. The meeting noted that there are no factions in the PDP and everybody is working together. 

iii. We equally want to use this opportunity to reaffirm that in Rivers State, the Governors would work assiduously towards resolving all the issues in the State with a view to uniting all the Stakeholders. 


3. The PDP Governors congratulated the host, His Excellency, Governor Umo Basey Eno, for his hospitality in hosting of the meeting.

Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas. He warned mischief makers against needless court actions that are capable of delaying or frustrating the selection and installation of traditional rulers in the state. The PDP Governors’ Forum under the leadership of H.E. Governor Bala A. Mohammed, CON, held an enlarged meeting at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge, Tatari Ali House, Asokoro on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Rising from the consultative meeting of the various organs of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Party resolved as follows: 1. The National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting originally slated for October 24, 2024, has been rescheduled to November 28, 2024. 2.
