Gov Agbu Kefas Receives Torch of Unity in Jalingo.

The Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Tuesday, 8th April 2025, received the torch of unity presented to him by the officials from the National Sports Commission ahead of the forthcoming National Sports Festival.

Addressing the gathering at the TY Danjuma House Jalingo in a brief ceremony, Dr Agbu Kefas assured the officials of his administration's continued support for sports development in the state.

He further lauded the efforts of the officials in fostering national unity through sports and wished them well as they continued their activities.

The Leader of the delegation, Mrs Ikana Mbora, disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially flagged off the National Sports Festival, scheduled to hold in May 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

She explained that the torch of unity is what they used to create awareness and further unity through sports.

She added that by the presentation of the torch, the state is officially invited to the festival.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
