Diri, Dickson Task Bayelsa Politicians On Love, Unity

 Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, and his predecessor, Senator Seriake Dickson, have urged politicians in the state to eschew bitterness and divisive tendencies.  Both leaders spoke on Monday during the Yuletide visit of Governor Diri and a large delegation, including his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, to the country home of the former governor in Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area. The Bayelsa governor decried the level of rumour mongering in the state, noting that the visit would again put to rest speculations about rift between him and Dickson, whom he described as his boss. GOV FUBARA PRESENTS N1.188TRN AS 2025 BUDGET TO RSHA

 Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has presented N1.188 trillion as budgetary estimate for the year 2025 to the State House of Assembly for consideration and approval. This figure is an increase from the 2024 budget of N800 billion that was presented in 2023 to the Assembly. Governor Fubara presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill shortly after delivering his address to lawmakers at the Assembly Auditorium, Administrative Block of Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday. He said the 2025 budget christened: "Budget of Inclusive Growth and Development", will be implemented to achieve sustainable economic growth, accelerate the development of the State, while improving the living standards of all residents in the State. Gov. Dauda Lawal Approves 13th Month Salary for Zamfara Workers

Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the payment of a 13th-month salary to Zamfara State civil and public servants. The approval was communicated in a circular issued on the 28th of December 2024 by the Zamfara State Head of Service.  The 13th month salary is the second of its kind in Zamfara State's history, with the first being paid by Lawal’s administration last December. Zamfara civil and public servants, including retirees, will receive a bonus of 30% of their basic salary as the 13th month salary. This initiative acknowledges the dedication and hard work of the Zamfara workforce by providing them with extra financial support during the holiday season. The 13th-month salary payment is one of several ideas to empower workers and foster economic growth in Zamfara State. To fulfill its promises, the government has cleared over N10 billion in gratuities owed over the past 11 years, approved a minimum wage of N70,000, and ensured workers' salaries were paid on time. We’ve Resolved Bayelsa, Rivers Oil Dispute, Says Diri

 ... We Need Each Other - Fubara Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has expressed delight over the peaceful resolution of the Soku oil well dispute between Rivers and Bayelsa states. Speaking in Port Harcourt on Saturday during a Yuletide visit to his Rivers counterpart, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, Governor Diri said he was delighted that under Fubara, both states have agreed to return to status quo, thus ending the dispute and withdrawing the case from court.  The Bayelsa Governor said the peaceful relations between both states was necessary for their development and called for its continuity.  Diri also lauded Fubara for his handling of the demolished property of the Bayelsa government in Port Harcourt, which is still in court while both states are close to reaching an amicable settlement.
