Bayelsa Central Senatorial Road: Angiama-Oporoma Bridge attains 70% completion
… As Governor Diri makes massive progress on infrastructural development in Bayelsa
Indeed, Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri’s resolve to conquer the Bayelsa difficult terrain is unprecedented as on-going construction work at the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge has attained 70% completion stage.
Clearing any misconceptions, Mr. Lee stated that the steel Bridge previously held by some section of the public as the projected bridge was only to temporarily aid the actual construction of the main bridge, stressing that the Oporoma Bridge has 17 pillars inside the River Nun out of which 16 have already been constructed.
Director, Civil, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Bayelsa State, Engineer Cliff Eribo, highlighted that the length of the Oporoma Bridge is 670 meters long with height that enables free passage of ships and heavy duty vessels even at the top of floods.
