ONE DAY FAST TO MARK THE 32ND ANNIVERSARY OF AKWA IBOM STATE

As part of activities to mark the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has declared a one-day State fast on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

With the theme “I believe God” (Acts 27:25), the fast is to be observed during service in the various churches but everyone will come together at the Government House Banquet Hall Grounds by 4 p.m. to break the fast. 

All residents and citizens are encouraged to join the fast to thank God for the creation and sustenance of Akwa Ibom State. Other prayer points include prayers for peace, stability and prosperity of our State as well as prayers against any form of epidemic, disaster, bloodshed, cultism kidnapping, raping, robbery, idolatry, corruption, etc.

It will also be an opportunity to pray for the forgiveness of our individual and collective sins while praying for the Governor and Government of Akwa Ibom State.
