ZAMFARA PDP COMMENDS GOV MATAWALLE FOR TACKLING LONG SECURITY CHALLENGES IN THE STATE - Report




The Zamfara State People's Democratic Party Local Government Council chairmen have commended Governor Bello Matawalle for taking proactive measures in tackling the long security challenges that faced the state before he became governor.

The commendation was made by the Forum Chairman who doubles as PDP Chairman of Bukkuyum Local Government, Alhaji Bashir Maishago, when the forum paid a visit to the governor, Tuesday, at his residence in Gusau .

Alhaji Bashir Maishago said that Governor Matawalle has made them proud and they are happy with his leadership style especially the proactive measures he took in addressing the long security challenges bedevilling the state for almost a decade.

He said that the governor has demonstrated to the world that his leadership qualities are unmatched especially in the way he successfully initiated the peace process which yielded positive results and made people of the state happy and safe, giving room for development.

Alhaji Bashir further said that the Matawalle-led administration has improved the living standards of many people ranging from civil servants, politicians, marketers and youths through various initiatives.

He assured of the forum's continued support and cooperation for the purpose of a peaceful and economically viable Zamfara that even the future generations will be proud of.

He said that the name of Governor Matawalle will be written in gold as a hero of genuine change.

Responding, Governor Bello Matawalle thanked the PDP chairmen for their timely visit and informed them of his administration's plan to restructure and reorganize Zamfara State economically, politically and socially for the benefit of all Zamfara citizens.

Matawalle also re-echoed his administration's plans to sustain the peace so far achieved, as many ways to improve the living standards of the state electorates have been launched in which many people benefited.

He stressed that a lot of developmental projects have reached advanced stages of completion while new ones will soon commence.

The Governor declared that his administration will continue to prioritise provision of security of lives and properties which are the core objectives of any good government.

He explained that no meaningful development can be achieved without having a peaceful and secured environment where everybody can go about their legitimate businesses without fear of being attacked.

Governor Matawalle appealed for more support and understanding from the PDP Local Government Council chairmen for his administration to strive in all sectors of development.

The visit was attended by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Honourable Muhammad Maiturare Sadiq and Permanent Secretary, Office of the Executive Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Jaafar Maradun.

Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare
