Gov. Ikpeazu Pays Condolence Visit to Late Chief Allen Nwachukwu's Family
Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Chief Allen Nwachukwu at their country home, Umuokiri in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area.
The Governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere, said he received the news of the demise of Chief Allen Nwachukwu with a rude shock.
He described the deceased as a great iroko and political guru who distinguished himself politically, pointing out that he would be greatly missed by not just the Ngwa people but the entire black race.
Ikpeazu who, noted that death is a necessary end for all mortals hence the need for all to live life's worthy of emulation, enjoined the bereaved family not to cry as those without hope but take solace in the fact that their later father left good legacies.
Responding, the Chief Mourner and Member representing Osisioma South State Constituency, Mr Nnamdi Allen Nwachukwu described his late father, Chief Allen Nwachukwu as a devoted and strong party man who dedicated his life while alive to the service of God and humility and also appreciated Governor Ikpeazu for coming to identify with them during their moment of grief.
Also speaking, the younger brother of the deceased, Elder Chinwe Nwachukwu thanked God for the life of his elder brother pointing out that he will be greatly missed.
Highlights of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by the Governor's representative, who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Government House Umuahia, Mr Alozie Odoemelam, the Director General, Abia State Mass Mobilization Agency, Chief Paddy Anyatonwu among other top government officials.
