Bauchi Govt Lauds Citizens On Compliance To Directives



Bauchi State Government has noted with satisfaction, the current compliance on its various orders by the citizens of the state. 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General Marcus Koko Yake (Retired), disclosed this in an interview with Government House correspondents in Bauchi. 

The Security Adviser applauded residents of Bauchi metropolis for their compliance with the directives for the wearing of face masks and ban of achaba operations. 

Brigadier Koko Yake who is a member of the Enforcement Committee, observed that its enforcement with persuasion has yeilded positive result.

"Various committees have been constituted by the state government to ensure compliance to the guidelines laid down, our enforcement committee is to ensure adherence to the instructions of government especially wearing of face masks, ban of achaba operations and other regulations."

"What we did recently is to go out and see the level of compliance in his good way of administration, the chairman of our committee who is the Commissioner of Police ensured that the assignment is conducted with zero harassment or intimidation."

He said that the committee has distributed face masks during the campaign in an effort to encourage its usage by the people of the state. 

According to him, despite the achievements in the enforcement, there is need for continued support and adherence to all government's directives by the citizens. 

The Governor's Security Adviser said that the rate of criminality within the Bauchi metropolis has dramatically reduced as a result of ban on achaba operations.
