Bauchi State Governor Commissions Re-modeled Government House Complex
The Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala A. Mohammed, CON, celebrated a significant milestone today with the commissioning of the re-modeled Bauchi State Government House Complex. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shetima, GCON, and the Executive Governors of Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States.
Governor Mohammed expressed his gratitude to Allah (SWT) for making the day possible and praised the citizens who set aside other engagements to attend the event. He specifically thanked Vice President Shetima for his presence, highlighting his commitment to national unity and progress.
Reflecting on the inception of his administration in 2019, Governor Mohammed recalled the "My Bauchi Project" agenda aimed at enhancing the welfare of the people, diversifying the economy, and upgrading social and infrastructural sectors. The re-modeling of the previously dilapidated Government House was a crucial part of this vision, aligning with their urban renewal strategy.
The Governor emphasized the inadequacies of the old Government House, which prompted the urgent need for a comprehensive remodeling. The new complex includes a range of facilities such as the New Governor’s Office Complex, the Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Grand Stand, an International Conference Centre, and a Standard Banquet Hall, among others.
As the ceremony concluded, Governor Mohammed handed over the microphone to Vice President Shetima, who proceeded to deliver his remarks and officially commission the re-modeled Government House Complex.
