PDP Governor's Forum Congratulates Governor Douye Diri on His Victory at the Post-Election Tribunal

The PDP Governors' Forum, PDP-GF, under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, the Governor of Bauchi State {Kauran Bauchi}, hereby congratulates its member, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, on his victory at the  Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, further confirming his well-deserved mandate entrusted on him by the people in an election adjudged free and fair by all.

2.  The Forum once again reaffirms its faith in the Judiciary, the last hope of the common man, who in the judgement  delivered by the Justice Adekunle Adeleye-led three-member tribunal, has without bias enthroned "Prosperity" over "Chaos" for a people who passionately want meaningful development to continue manifesting.


3.  This victory is dedicated to the Bayelsan people whose faith in the re-election of the "Prosperity Government" at the November 11, 2023 race would never be taken for granted; Rather, the focus will be on delivering more people-oriented projects and programs as dividends.


4.  The Forum joins the family, friends and indeed all citizens of Bayelsa State to celebrate him and pray the Almighty God grants him wisdom and protection in piloting the affairs of State and the nation by extension.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
