Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, says his administration will enhance Yankari Games Reserve and state-owned Zaranda Hotels to develop human resources as part of his  commitment to making Bauchi cultural aminities more appealing.




He made this known while inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation of Yankari Games Reserve, praising former Governor of Bauchi state, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Muazu, for his foresight and revitalising the reserve, saying his administration will ensure the security of the whole area is enhanced in addition to protecting the rights of the species.



Governor Mohammed attributed the reserve's decline on insufficient attention and oversight as well as the negligence of the previous administrations, issuing a stern warning to intruders and killers of the animals.



Speaking, Ruben Okoya of the Architect Tronix, assured Mohammed of quality project, saying when completed, Yankari will match up against its global counterparts.

Governor Mohammed's entourage include top government functionaries، notably the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, and Honourable Commissioners.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
