Governor Bala Mohammed Approves Key Appointments, Swapping of Two (2 ) Chairmen of Boards of Educational Institutions

His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON, Fnipr (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya) the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved  key appointments in his government and Swapping of 2 Chairmen of Boards of Educational Institutions as follows . 

 1- Barrister Mohammed Sani  Umar — Acting Head of Civil Service 


2- Yahuza Adamu Haruna —    Chief Economic Adviser .


3- The Swapping of Chairmen of the boards of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic ( ATAP) , Dr. Abubakar Surinbai Dahiru Bauchi with that of AD Rufa’i College of Education , Legal and Islamic Studies , Senator Lawan Yahaya Gumau .

These appointments are particularly of the administration’s ongoing commitment to enhancing governance and strengthening the state’s civil service and economic management.

Barrister Mohammed Sani Umar, a seasoned legal professional and administrator, will provide leadership in the civil service, ensuring efficiency and professionalism in the state’s public sector and until his appointment he was the Permanent Secretary Establishment in the office of the Head of Civil Service .

The new Chief Economic Adviser, Alh. Yahuza Adamu Haruna, an expert in economic planning and policy, will advise the government on critical economic strategies aimed at fostering sustainable development in Bauchi State. He will work with the State Economic Management Team in the provision and coordination of inter-sectoral economic policy direction and monitoring progress in implementation of government policies and programmes. He was the immediate past Head of Civil Service.

The two new appointees will be sworn in tomorrow, Wednesday 5th February, 2025, at the Council Chamber , Government House , Bauchi by 10am.
