Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State Meets With the 16 Local Government Council Chairmen.

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, articulated his commitment to ensuring that all regions of the state benefit from the progress driven by his administration.

This important declaration was made during an interactive meeting at the Exco Chamber TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, where he engaged with the Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Councils.

The meeting aimed to review developmental reports and collaboratively discuss pathways for future advancements.

In his address to the Chairmen, the Governor emphasized that the meeting transcended the mere sharing of activity reports; it served as a vital forum for identifying and addressing the pressing needs within the Local Government Areas. 

Dr. Kefas expressed his belief in converting challenges into opportunities, fostering sustainable development throughout the state. He noted that effective governance at the local level presents a unique opportunity to align grassroots interests with state policies, reinforcing the commitment to promote meaningful advancement.

Additionally, he stated that he has received the final copies of the state’s development master plan, with each local government area equipped with its designated plan. These documents will soon be distributed to all councils.

The session concluded with a closed-door meeting, highlighting the importance and confidentiality of the discussions undertaken.
