Governor Fintiri Commended for Leading Humanitarian and Development Efforts in Adamawa State

 The Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Nigeria, Doris El Doueihy, has applauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his administration’s leadership in driving impactful humanitarian and development initiatives.

This commendation was made during a visit by the Executive Chairman of ADSPHCDA, Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir, to the ICRC Delegation Office in Abuja on Friday, 8 August. The ICRC remains a key humanitarian partner in Adamawa, having co-implemented several high-impact projects across sectors, particularly health.

Dr. Bashir emphasized the need for sustained collaboration to support the State’s Durable Solutions Initiative, highlighting the achievements under Governor Fintiri’s dynamic leadership.

Also present were Mr. Yannick Buchli (ICRC Head of Operations), Mr. Mousa Badji (Health Coordinator), and Mr. Koussi Kouman (Deputy Health Coordinator). Discussions focused on key health priorities and ongoing ICRC-supported interventions in the state.
