Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare
...inspects ongoing renovation of Courts
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says his administration is giving priority to infrastructure and welfare improvements across key sectors, including the judiciary, legislature, and civil service, to boost productivity and comfort.
He stated this when he inspected the ongoing renovation at the Customary Court and High Court in Yola.
The Governor said his administration is determined to provide every sector with the right facilities so that workers can deliver their best.
He explained that the judiciary, being one of the three arms of government, is receiving special attention with the provision of modern and comfortable office spaces.
Governor Fintiri commended the contractor handling the court projects, saying the quality of work, furnishing, and environment shows excellence. He assured that the buildings will soon be handed over to the judiciary for use.
He further revealed that the House of Assembly complex is under total renovation, while the Government House now wears a new look with offices for the governor and staff.
The Governor added that old civil service and agency buildings, some dating back to the Gongola era, have been pulled down to give way for new and more comfortable offices for workers.
On welfare, Governor Fintiri said civil servants are already enjoying better promotions and financial benefits, even down to the primary school level, describing the improvement as unprecedented and widely appreciated by workers.
