Bauchi One of Most Peaceful States, We'll Collaborate with Govt to Ensure Peace is Not Broken- IGP

The Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force, Kayode Egbetokun, has described outlined Bauchi as one of the harmonious states in Nigeria, assuring the NPF's commitment to supporting the State Government in ensuring that its peace is not broken. 

IGP Egbetokun made this known today when he visited Governor Bala Mohammed at Bauchi Government House, commending the Governor for his commitment to the protection of lives and properties, giving citizens the dividends of democracy and his support to the Force. 

He, however, highlighted that the present Police leadership will be establishing the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) in all the states of the federation starting in ten pilot states in which Bauchi has been selected, calling on citizens to encourage officers by continue to be law abiding. 
The SIS according to IGP Kayode is going to be carefully selected, monitored, trained, equipped and motivated as they will not be engaged in routine patrols, rather be based on a mission to be responding to all crisis. 
While celebrating the Valentine's Day with Nigerians, the IGP reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police to the protection lives and the rules of law, added that with the creation of the SIS, days of bandits and other criminals terrorizing communities are numbered. 
Responding, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who described the IGP as unifier and nationalist whose pedigree is definitely prepared by destiny, commended him for bringing in innovation, intellect, strategy, good governance and allocation. 

Mohammed applauded the NPF for working as leader in the security architecture, emphasizing the importance of proper leadership recruitment in Nigeria.
