SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT: Gov. Fintiri Receives NLC Officials, announces Approval of N3billion to Settle Pension and Gratuity.

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved Three Billion Naira to the State Pension Board to clear the backlog of pension and gratuity of retired civil servants.

Governor Fintiri disclosed this while addressing the Adamawa state leadership of the Nigeria Labor Congress ÑLC who were in his office to congratulate him on his victory at the Supreme Court.

He noted that having considered how the retired civil servants have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the state, he deemed it necessary to approve the Three Billion Naira for immediate settlement of their backlog of pension and gratuity.

He further revealed that the State Government is aware of the gaps in the civil service and has plans for employment immediately after the declaration of the expected new minimum wage by the Federal Government in April.

Earlier, the Adamawa State chairman of the Nigeria Labor Congress, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe, congratulated the Governor on his victory at the Supreme Court, acknowledging and appreciating the Governor for the good reforms he brought to the civil service.
