NEDC Visits Gov Agbu Kefas, to Hand Over 134 Projects to Taraba State Government

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas has assured the North East Development Commission of the commitment of his administration to work with the commission to prioritize and identify key areas of interventions for the progress of the state and the region.

Dr Agbu Kefas gave the assurance this Monday at the Exco Chamber Government House Jalingo while receiving the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and management of the commission on a courtesy visit.

Receiving them, Dr. Agbu Kefas identified insecurity and poor infrastructures as among the challenges bedeviling the northeast sub-region of the country and said with the collaboration of the commission, the challenges will be surmounted.

According to Dr Agbu Kefas, the work of the commission is very instrumental in driving positive change and impacting the lives of the people.

The Governor said he is looking forward to a beneficial collaboration with the commission for more impacts in the state in the year 2024.

Dr Agbu Kefas also called on all stakeholders to join hands with the state government in its quest for development and building a prosperous state.

Earlier, the MD and CEO of the North East Development Commission, Alhaji Muhammed Gummi Alkali, said they were in the state to introduce the commission to the Governor alongside the board members recently inaugurated by the President.

He said they will go round Jalingo the State Capital to inspect the 134 projects completed in the state.

According to him, the projects will soon be handed over to the state government and shortly they will implement projects chosen for the year 2024.

The occasion was attended by top government Functionaries from the state.
