Governor Adeleke condoles with Rep Omirin over mother's passing

Governor Ademola Adeleke has commiserated with the federal lawmaker representing Atakunmosa West, Atakunmosa East, Ilesa East and Ilesa West, Honourable Sanya Omirin over the passing of his mother, Mama Aderemi Omirin (Née Abe)

Governor Adeleke who acknowledges the pain of losing a loved one, more so, a mother, urged Hon. Omirin to take solace in the life full of accomplishments lived by Mama Omirin, of which he is one.

"I sympathise with Hon Sanya Omirin on the loss of his mother. It's a tough experience to bear and urge him and every loved ones impacted by Mama Aderemi Omirin's demise to honour her legacy of good deeds," the Governor was quoted to have said in a condolences note.

"In this moment of grief, I convey my heartfelt thoughts and prayers while hoping that Rep Omirin and everyone left behind would be comforted by a life full of accomplishments lived by Mama."

Governor Adeleke prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and give everyone who mourn the fortitude to bear this painful loss. May her soul rest in peace!

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
