2024 LCCN Convention Numan: Governor Fintiri Reiterates Commitment to Good Governance
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reiterated his commitment to the provision of qualitative governance with an assurance to fulfill all promises made to the people.
The Governor made the remark when he graced the 2024 Annual Convention of the LCCN taking place in Numan.
Fintiri first told the congregation that he specifically graced the occasion in order to express appreciation the people for entrusting him with their mandate for the second term. He emphasized that tackling security challenges remains paramount on his agenda and also promised to ensure quality education where he revealed that he will continue the payment of WAEC fees for all qualified students in the state so as to ease the burden on parents.
He posited that education is the key to a guaranteed future for the younger generation.
The Governor also revealed that he has recently paid the sum 2.4 billion Naira as scholarship to students studying in tertiary institutions. He also promised to keep up the school feeding programme in schools.
Governor Fintiri also informed the congregation that he intends to strengthen the teaching of skills acquisition where vocational training centres in schools will be resuscitated.
Responding, the Dean of the LCCN, Rev. Nelson Mallau, appreciated the Governor's presence and prayed God to continue to grant him more wisdom as he faces the challenge of leading Adamawa State.
The clergyman said the church will continue to pray for the peace of the land and will always preach the part of peaceful coexistence and harmonious living amongst the populace.
