Rivers Gov, Wife, Attend Outing Service After Burial of Late Adeline Jaja

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, his wife, Valerie and members of their family attended the outing service of late Mrs. Adeline Ndalu Jaja, mother of wife of the Governor, who was buried in Opobo Town, on Saturday, March 16.

The service that was held at St Paul's Anglican Church, Opobo Town in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of the State on Sunday, was also attended by several dignitaries who joined with the host for the thanksgiving for a peaceful burial.

Preaching at the service, the Vicar of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Opobo Town, Venerable Emmanuel Nwuju, said Christians are still in lent, reflecting on the accomplished work of redemption through Jesus Christ, that has offered eternal hope.

He said, in the days of Jesus, instead of the people to embrace Him, and walk in righteousness, they ganged up to antagonise and killed Him together with criminals, but in a twist of fate, He was buried in a rich man's tomb and eventually rose in glory.

Venerable Nwuju said same things happen these days, with those who benefit from corruption perpetuating it across sectors, and by extension, destroying the available quality of education, which is endangering the future of the youths. 


But the clergy declared that those who focus on God will be emboldened to bring solution to the many woes bedevilling the country.
