PDP Governors’ Forum Felicitates Governor Godwin O. Obaseki @ 67

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohamed CON, the Governor of Bauchi State and other member Governors celebrate with H.E. Godwin O. Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, as he turns 67 years today (July 1, 2024).

2.  The Forum joins the entire citizens of Edo State with gratitude to God for His care and protection on his life and family, and the graceful leading to pilot the affairs of State all these years.

3.  We are glad to identify with the legacy of Governor Obaseki in Edo State, a race that comprised of a double tenure, which is steeped in excellence, and marked by achievements across numerous sectors, not forgetting his commitment to the welfare of Edo residents at all times.

4.  Governor Obaseki has imputed fiscal prudence into government service deployment through cost effective technologies in Edo State, thus setting the pace in  Ease of Doing Business initiatives and e-governance.

5.  Evidently, Governor Obaseki’s focus on economic reforms and development initiatives has led to projects such as the Refinery projects, Gelegele Seaport, and Benin Industrial parks. 

6.Additionally, Governor Obaseki launched the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development fund, worth N2 billion, in collaboration with the Bank of Industry (BOI) to support entrepreneurs in the state. 

7. The PDP-GF on the occasion  of this celebration acknowledges Governor Obaseki’s contributions to the growth of the PDP and the Forum in particular.

8.  We pray that God Almighty will continue to bless him and his family as well as bestow him with the wisdom to finish all his plans for the State before the expiration of his tenure.

9.. Once again, we wish Governor Obaseki a happy birthday anniversary and pledge our brotherly cooperation and unalloyed support at all times.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas. He warned mischief makers against needless court actions that are capable of delaying or frustrating the selection and installation of traditional rulers in the state.
