GOVERNOR MATAWALLE APPROVES STUDENTS' VERIFICATION COMMITTEE




Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle  has approved the constitution of Local Students' Verification Committee that will come up with the list of authentic Zamfara state indigene students studying at various higher institutions of learning across the country.

The Committee is to be headed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Scholarship Board Honourable Luqman Majidadi.

The committee is to visit all tertiary institutions in the country to verify genuine indigene students from Zamfara state in order to guide the government in designing a plan on how to pay scholarships to all Zamfara state students.

Governor Matawalle said the purpose of constituting the verification committee is to give all Zamfara Indigene students a sense of belonging through payments of Scholarships allowances and other benefits as earlier promised by the Governor.

Matawalle described education as the bedrock of every development and a means of reducing the crime  rate within the society through youths empowerment, to study and become self -reliant.

Matawalle also called on all Zamfara state Students studying at various institutions of higher learning in the country to give the committee all the necessary support to achieve the desired objectives for the purpose of developing Zamfara state.

Matawalle also assured the students of his administration's determination to pay  scholarship allowances to all deserving Zamfara students.

He also charged the committee members to fear Allah in the discharge of their task and to put Zamfara state first.

It could be recalled that Zamfara State Students were denied the previlege of enjoying the scholarship allowances in the State by the previous administration of Abdulaziz Yari for a period of seven years.
