 ... appreciates Sen. Dickson, other stakeholders for support

Re-elected Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, is very appreciative of the massive support of the people in last Saturday's Governorship election.

The Governor who was speaking when he received in his Sampou country home, the immediate past Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, said himself and Dickson had now defeated Chief Timipre Sylva at different times.

Governor Diri was joined by his wife, Dr. Gloria and other top government functionaries to receive the delegation.

"I must appreciate our leader, the former Governor for leading party stakeholders here to congratulate me on my re-election. In fact, it should be the reverse. I thank our people from Sagbama and Ekeremor LGAs for this visit. It is our government and like I said in my address after the declaration, I will be Governor for all."

Senator Dickson, said the people of Bayelsa West were very happy with Governor Diri and that they are waiting for the continuation of the Sagbama/Ekeremor road up to Agge.

Senator Dickson, who congratulated the Governor on his reelection, called on Bayelsans to continue to give the needed support to the Prosperity Government.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
