My Pact with the People of Osun Is Unbreakable – Governor Adeleke

● As Ila Orangun Comes Alive for Township Road Dualisation Flag-Off

My dear people of Osun State,

I was deeply moved and encouraged by the overwhelming reception I received from the good people of Ila Orangun today, as we flagged off the dualisation of the Ila Township Road—another milestone in our infrastructure revolution.

Let me use this opportunity to reaffirm: my pact of service with the people of Osun State is unbreakable and unwavering. From day one, I pledged to govern with integrity, compassion, and a firm resolve to transform our state—and I remain fully committed to that promise.

Through the Imole Agenda, our five-point development strategy is yielding results that are visible across every corner of Osun. Ila Orangun and the entire Igbomina region are experiencing the impact of a government that listens, acts, and delivers.

To date, our administration has completed the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and renovation of over 200 kilometers of roads. Major dualisation and flyover projects are also advancing at impressive speeds:

Ilesa Dualisation: 78% completed

Ile-Ife Flyover: 75% completed

Oke-Fia Flyover: Over 95% completed

LAMECO Flyover: 55% executed

Oke Gada Bridge: 100% completed

Here in Ila Orangun, we have successfully delivered:

2KM stretch of Oba Jinsin/Ita Obajoko Road, Ogunlade Junction – Kamila Junction Road, and Ajagunla Street

1.8KM Aregun Junction – Ogunlolu Road

And today, we officially commence the dualisation of the first 3.5KM phase of Ila Township Road, which, by the grace of God, will be delivered within 10 months.

Furthermore, we are opening up Osun through strategic road linkages. I have approved the rehabilitation of the Ila – Ora – Oke Ila Road, which has now reached Oke Ila Junction. I assure the Orangun of Oke-Ila, the Akesin of Ora, the Asaoni of Ora, and all my people in Ora that work will continue shortly and in earnest.

Our royal fathers—including His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun, the Orangun of Ila Orangun; Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke Ila; and other traditional rulers from Igbomina land—honoured us with their presence, and I deeply appreciate their prayers and words of encouragement.

We were also joined by key leaders including:

Prince Kola Adewusi, Deputy Governor

Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, Speaker of the House of Assembly

Hon. Ganiyu Olaoluwa, Chairman, Commissioners’ Forum

Members of the State Executive Council

Hon. Clement Akanni, Member representing Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency

Hon. Ayo Awolowo

Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry

The unwavering support of the people continues to energize us. Let me assure you all: no project will be abandoned. No promise will be forgotten.

Together, we will build the Osun of our dreams.

Imọlẹ ti tan – and the light will never go out!

– Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke

Executive Governor, Osun State
