NYSC Appreciation Visit to Governor Fintiri
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development of Adamawa State and the welfare of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state.
The Governor restated this commitment when he received corps members on Wednesday at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola.
Governor Fintiri thanked the corps members for showing appreciation for the government’s efforts and for giving back to their host communities.
He encouraged the corps members to mix freely with
the communities where they are posted and see everyone as one people. The Governor said his government will keep working to ensure peace, unity, and safety for all residents and corps members in the state.
Governor Fintiri also revealed that his administration is finalising plans to build a brand new NYSC camp to provide a better and safer environment for corps members now and in the future. He promised to continue prioritising their welfare and urged them to do their best during their service year.
Mrs. Caroline further pledged the NYSC’s continued partnership with the state government to sustain and expand life changing community projects in education, healthcare, agriculture, and skills acquisition.
Highlights of the event included traditional dances, inspiring poem recitations, and the presentation of gifts, all of which added colour and meaning to the occasion.
