The Bayelsa State Government has expressed appreciation to all those who made the 8th annual Thanksgiving Day Celebration and the last for the Restoration Government, a huge success.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Yenagoa, the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, specifically thanked the Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu, who took the main sermon for the thanksgiving.

The statement also expressed gratitude to Bishop Francis Wale Oke, founder of Sword of the Spirit International Church, Apostle Prince David Zilly Aggrey of Royal House of Grace International Church and other annointed men of God.

In the statement, Iworiso-Markson equally applauded the role played by the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) led by the State Chairman, Archbishop Jacob Akpiri, throughout the three-day programme.

Also commended in the statement were leaders and members of the various churches, gospel artistes, the various mass choirs, women and youth groups and Bayelsans in general.

The Government spokesman used the opportunity to call on people of the State to continue to live a life of thanksgiving and also pray for the success of the coming governorship election, as well as the last three months of the Governor Henry Seriake Dickson administration.
