Governor Eno Briefs President Tinubu

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, was in the State House, Abuja, this evening to meet and brief President Bola Tinubu on the progress that Akwa Ibom State has made in the last seven months of his administration.

Governor Eno also used the opportunity of meeting and interfacing with the President to seek for assistance and support of the Federal Government in many developmental projects and programmes that are ongoing in Akwa Ibom State.

"The President is the father and leader of the nation and as a father and leader, he is entitled to know what goes on in every part of this country especially in a very important and strategic State like Akwa Ibom", the Governor told reporters after the meeting.

Some of the areas that Governor Eno briefed the President included the progress so far made by Ibom Air, the Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) Aircraft workshop at the Victor Attah International Airport, Akwa Palms project, the Ibom Deep Sea Port project, among others. 

The President commended the Governor for his inclusive leadership style and encouraged him to intensify work on the ongoing projects as they have the potentials to help in the transformation of Nigeria. He promised to assist Akwa Ibom accomplish key projects and programmes that will impact not only the State but the rest of the country.

President Tinubu also requested the Governor to convey his love and  best wishes to Akwa Ibom people, and continue to work hard to keep Akwa Ibom a peaceful place for all Nigerians.
