Return Government Property Or Face Full Wrath Of The Law - Dr. Agbu Kefas

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has advised individuals and groups who have confiscated government properties to get ready to return them or face the full wrath of the law.

Governor Agbu Kefas stated this on Friday at the Exco Chamber Government House, Jalingo, while receiving the reports of the Assets Assessment and Recovery Committee he set up recently.

Dr. Agbu Kefas who noted that he is in the Government for serious business added that he will ensure that the right thing is done and that he will not sit and watch people confiscate Government's properties. 

According to him, all the assets of the state that need recovery will be recovered and those that need disposal will be disposed of appropriately.

Earlier, the chairman of the committee, Retired General Habila Vintenaba, informed the Governor that they had noticed gross misuse, diversion, and misappropriation of government properties by some individuals.

According to him, their reports are in three volumes including an executive summary.

He told the Governor that the state has some assets cutting across the country that need to be recovered or disposed of.

The state Deputy Governor and top members of the Taraba State government among others attended the presentation ceremony.

Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare
