Governor Mutfwang's Triumphant Return To Jos After Supreme Court Verdict, Renews Hope For Plateau Citizens

A massive crowd gathered at Yakubu Gowon Airport Heipang on Saturday, joyfully welcoming Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. The Supreme Court's ruling, which upheld his position as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State, resonated with the people, nullifying the Court of Appeal's earlier decision that had disrupted his mandate.

In a colourful motorcade from Heipang Airport to the Langfield Event Centre in Jos, a jubilant crowd spanning several kilometers celebrated the victory.

Expressing gratitude at the Langfield Event Centre, Governor Mutfwang thanked Plateau citizens and supporters nationwide for their unwavering support, pledging to revitalize Plateau and fulfill promises of progress.

Acknowledging the Supreme Court's role, Mutfwang commended the justices for upholding justice and restoring hope to Plateau and Nigeria. He highlighted the significance of their decision, stating that the Justices could hold their heads high, if they witness the jubilation in Jos, Kano, and other states.

Encouraging unity among Plateau citizens, irrespective of politics, religion, or ethnicity, Mutfwang emphasized his commitment to addressing key issues such as terrorism, poverty, illiteracy, healthcare, and education.

The Governor expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for respecting the independence of the political and judicial processes, acknowledging him as a strong leader on the global stage.

Former Governor Jonah Jang described Mutfwang as a God-given leader, urging him to foster unity through regular political engagements. Plateau State PDP Chairman, Hon. Chris Hassan, thanked the people for their trust and called for support to ensure the delivery of democratic dividends.
Elder Statesman Amb. Yahaya Kwande hailed Mutfwang as a committed leader and emphasized the transformative impact with the right support. Former Minority Leader in the Senate, Simon Mwadkon, urged Plateau residents to stand united, dismissing attempts to divide them along religious lines.

Other well-wishers, including Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Gabriel Dewan, Chairman PDP Elders Forum Chief Raymond Dabo, and Hajiya Jamila Gwandu, echoed the call for solidarity with Governor Mutfwang, discouraging any divisive ideologies.
