Gov. Diri attends wife's late elder sister's burial in Ahoada
... says her purpose in life has been fulfilled
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, today attended the burial of late Mrs. Victoria Ali in Ahoada, Rivers State.
Late Mrs. Victoria Ali who died at the age of 63 is elder sister to Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Diri, wife of the Governor.
Governor Diri, while making his remarks with reference to the bible verse of Ecclesiastes 3:2, said "there is a time for everything in life."
He stated that the purpose for which God brought her to life has been fulfilled, hence, her death.
"I like to just remind you from the book of Ecclesiastes that there is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die. That is why today, our sister is lying there. It may be painful but your time of dying is not in your hands.
And I believe that the purpose for which God has brought her has been fulfilled and that is why He has taken her soul.
Let me on behalf of my family, the Prosperity Government of Bayelsa State once again extend our deepest condolences to the Chief Mourner, the husband of our dear sister, wife, grandmother and mother, Mr. Ali and his family and all of her siblings from Igbedi in Kolokuma/Opokuma and from Omoku," said Governor Diri.
