We'll Engage in Collaboration with Security Agencies, Traditional Institutions to Combat Insecurity - Gov. Bala Mohammed

...Attends Roundtable Meeting 

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, posits that collaboration between security agencies, traditional institutions and stakeholders will be of assistance in combating banditry and terrorism in Nigeria, saying his administration carries everybody along as part of commitment to fostering and enhancing the security framework in the state. 

Mohammed made this known today when he attended a two-day round-table on security in Northern Nigeria, holding at the Nigerian Army Resource Center Asokoro, Abuja, with a theme " Multidimensional Approach to Tackling Insecurity in Northern Nigeria".


Mohammed told the participants that his administration has provided essential reinforcement and will continue to partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure banditry and other vices are fought, in addition to providing citizenry with dividends of democracy to improve their living standard. 
According to Mohammed, improving social cohesion, upgrading the judicial system and strengthening law enforcement will go a long way in augmenting the security situation of the North, calling on Nigerians to encourage officers of the Nigerian Army, Police and other security agencies by reporting any suspicious activity of a group or individual.

In attendance are His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, Nigeria's former Military Head of State, Gen. Abdussalam Abubakar, Defence Minister, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, Governors among other dignitaries.
