Hotels Without CCTV CAMERAS In Adamawa Will Be Close Down - Govt.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Monday cautioned and issued a six-week ultimatum to hotel management in the State to install CCTV surveillance cameras in their hotels or face the full wrath of the government.

The Governor stated this following the recent horror murder of a woman in one of the hotels In Yola, on Thursday, January 18 when her headless body was later found by the hotel workers while the man who beheaded her reportedly fled with the head.

Addressing the hoteliers, Governor Fintiri represented by his deputy, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta, said "We won't sit as government and watch while our citizens are being disseminated and killed one by one".

He said after six weeks, any hotel without CCTV cameras, the government will have the right to take its decision".... she added.

Chief Samuel Adwata, Chairman Hoteliers Association commended the effort of the State Government towards peaceful coexistence in the state. 

He promised they would abide by the six-week ultimatum of fixing CCTV surveillance cameras in all the hotels in the state.
