More Bandits Accept Matawalle's Peace Initiative As Gov Vows To Push On With The Peace Accord In The State

 


More bandits repent and accept the Matawalle peace initiative today as an erstwhile notorious bandit, Auwalun Daudawa and his group surrender 20 AK47 rifles and five more dangerous weapons to the Governor who handed them over to the Police Command in the State.



In a brief ceremony at the premises of the Governor’s office this evening, Auwalun Daudawa handed over the weapons and also, along with his team mates, swore with the Holy Quran not to revert to his old ways.


Auwalun Daudawa said he was not surrendering his weapons out of fear of anything but for the belief that Governor Matawalle is sincere in his peace deal and that he and his team are tired of their old ways.


‘In all the battles and conflicts so far, I have never feared anything nor got wounded even once. I thank God that I am liberated by his mercy and I ask for pardon and forgiveness from the society’ Auwalu said.


He said he is no longer interested in going back to the bush but ask Governor Matawalle to allow him stay in Gusau and go back to school.


Governor Matawalle commended the courage of Auwalun Daudawa for embracing the peace along with all his team and promised that his administration will never renege on its promise to honor all the terms agreed in the peace deal and will continue to woo others in the bush until there was no more bandits remaining in the state.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
