Governor Bello Matawalle Receives Matawalle Singers, Donate Brand New 18 Seater Bus


Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shettiman Sokoto has received officials and members of Matawalle Entertainment and Enlightenment Forum (MEEFO) who were on a solidarity visit at Government House Gusau.



During the visit, the governor directed the Secretary to the State Government to present a Brand new 18 seater bus to the Forum  to enable it conduct its activities effectively.


The Shettiman Sokoto who expressed appreciation with the visit urged all traditional singers, musicians and entertainers to use their knowledge to promote unity, mutual cohesion, peace and political stability in the state and Nigeria at large.

He said the entertainers have been contributing immensely in enhancing National Unity, promoting peaceful coexistence and politics without bitterness.


The Governor said his administration will continue to accommodate all categories of people, especially traditional singers and musicians  by providing special welfare package for them so that they can have a good sense of belonging.

He informed the political class in the state to play the game in accordance with the guiding principles and avoid using other means to overheat the polity.


Governor Bello Matawalle warned that his administration will not fold its arms to allow unpatriotic citizens in the state to politise security issues, saying the peace process embarked upon by his government will continue to be in place for the overall interest of the state.


Earlier, the State Chairman of the forum, Malam Ibrahim Umar Duro, who spoke through the Secretary of the Association Nasiru Bilal Asarara said they were at the Government House to express their unflinching support, loyalty and dedication to the state Government and Governor Bello Matawalle in particular.



He said the forum will continue to enlighten the general public on Government policies and programmes.

He called on the state Government to include their members in all Government activities so that they can benefit from the dividends of democracy.


The visit was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, Senator Representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Senator Hassan Muhammed Nasiha, member representating Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency Hon Kabiru Amadu Maipalace, Honourable Abubakar Kawu Sumaila, and other senior Government officials.
