JANGEBE 300(+): Tambuwal, Sultan commiserate with ZMSG

Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal today Saturday commiserated with the government and people of Zamfara over the abduction early morning Friday of over 300 female students from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe.

Gov. Tambuwal, who was accompanied by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, expressed shock and dismay over the incident.


Describing the act as dastardly, pathetic and abuse of human dignity, the governor said the act is condemnable and should not be allowed to stand.

Similarly, the Sultan of Sokoto who also expressed displeasure with the act, appealed to the perpetrators of the kidnap to fear God just as he prayed to God to guide them aright.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
