Take Advantage of Free Cancer Screening - Banigo

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged the Rivers People to take advantage of the on-going free screening for cervical cancer in the State. 


Dr. Banigo stated this in a message from the Government House in Port Harcourt to commemorate the 2021, World Cancer Day on Wednesday 3rd February, 2021. 



According to the Deputy Governor, early detection and treatment is key to surviving cancer, adding that a cancer registry and a multidisciplinary team has been instituted at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital for the effective management of cases of cancer.


It would be recalled that 4th of February each year had been set aside to commemorate World Cancer Day. The theme for this year’s celebration is “I am and I Will”

Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare

 ...inspects ongoing renovation of Courts Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says his administration is giving priority to infrastructure and welfare improvements across key sectors, including the judiciary, legislature, and civil service, to boost productivity and comfort. He stated this when he inspected the ongoing renovation at the Customary Court and High Court in Yola. The Governor said his administration is determined to provide every sector with the right facilities so that workers can deliver their best.
