Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has Commissioned the corporate office of the standard micro finance bank and Priam Group with a pledge to partner the founder in his quest of fighting poverty . The two investments are added to his group of companies and businesses a micro finance institution to serve his organizations and the public. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar while noting that Nigeria has been the headquarter of world poverty said the objective of the bank and Adamaplast is to defeat poverty saying the decision to start from his home state is to convince other parts that he can defeat poverty  Speaking earlier Governor Fintiri disclosed Government is tirelessly working hard to ensure that the state is safe to attract investors and for businesses to flourish Meanwhile Speaking at the commissioning of state of the art facility at Priam Group Governor AUF describes it as a remarkable edifice which will benefit the state and its citizens.

Represented by his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, he spoke during the closing ceremonies of the first Governor Diri National Scrabble Championship in Yenagoa on Sunday evening. About 300 scrabble players across the country participated in the championship with Oshevire Avwenagha of Delta State emerging winner of the Masters category. The three-day tournament featured five categories, including Masters, Intermediate, Opens, Veterans and Students. Governor Emmanuel Sues For Patriotism, Says Blackmails Inimical To Development

Akwa Ibom  people have again been advised to support the vision of advancing development in the state and to desist from blackmail which could attract huge undesirable consequences. Governor Udom Emmanuel gave this charge when he led top government functionaries to a special Inter-Denominational Thanksgiving Service held to mark the 6th anniversary of his administration. Kebbi Boat Mishap: SOSG Donates N40m To KBSG

More help came the way of the families of the victims of the recent boat mishap at Wara of Ngaski local government area of Kebbi state when Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, on behalf of his state donated N40 million to them. Gov. Tambuwal made the donation on Saturday in Government House, Birnin Kebbi, when he  commiserated with the people and government of the state over the loss of lives as a result of the boat mishap. The governor expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and prayed to Allah to forgive and grant Aljannat Firdausi to those who lost their lives in the incident. Tambuwal also condoled the Kebbi state government over the loss of the lives occasioned by series of  bandits attacks in parts of Kebbi  state recently. Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has reiterated his oft-repeated call for a piece of legislation that would provide Constitutional roles for monarchs in the country. Gov. Tambuwal made the call at Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on Saturday when he commissioned the official residence of the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, which comprise of two blocks of a five bedroom residence and and a 4-bedroom guests chalet.
