Children's Day: Governor Ikpeazu Celebrates Abia Children

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has sent a message of congratulations to all Abia children on the occasion of this year's Children's Day.

The Governor notes that Abia children have continued to excel in public examinations, consistently maintaining the first position in WAEC examination in Nigeria for five years now.


Governor Ikpeazu assures Abia children of his commitment to the development of the State through the laying of solid foundations that will guarantee a better tomorrow for them and our state.

He charged them to focus on character building and to uphold the virtues of hardwork, honesty, integrity and trust, adding that these are the qualities that will guarantee them a better tomorrow. 


The Governor admonishes Abia children to shun negative vices like drug abuse and all forms of street cultism. He urges them to avoid every temptation to indulge in the destruction of public property but strive to remain sources of pride to their parents and to our state.


Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, on behalf of the Government and People of Abia State wishes our children a beautiful Children's Day and prays the Almighty God to continue to protect our children.
