Governor Fintiri Connects Toungo Local Government To National Grid
Former deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Bello Tukur Friday commissioned Toungo electrification project provided by the Fintiri led administration.
Speaking at the event in Toungo, Senator Tukur thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for actualizing the project which he said has great socioeconomic benefits to the people.
He described Governor Umaru Fintiri as one of the best performing governors in the country acknowledged with excitement his developmental projects in Adamawa.
Governor Umaru Fintiri said project is a 33kv main line from Ganye Tee Junction to Toungo and linked to the YEDC main station with 11kv Low Tension in Gamu and installed transformers and distribution lines.The Governor added that the second phase is the one from Toungo to Kirri which has already seen ninety percent poles erection and is still in progress declaring that his administration will soon commission the project.
There were goodwill messages from the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas, the All Progressives Congress (APC) member representing Toungo in the State House of Assembly and chairman Toungo local government council, Mr Kefas Kelvin.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe urged the people of Toungo to take full responsibility of protecting the facility.
