Gov AUF Condoles EYN President Over Father's Demise, Set to Reconnect Hildi to National Grid

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Thursday, expressed his condolences to Reverend Stephen Billi Mamza's family and the Hildi community in Hong Local Government Area.

The deceased was the father of Reverend Joel Billi, the President of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, also known as Ekilisiyar Yan Uwa A Nigeria, EYN.

Fintiri, who was at the deceased's family residence in Hildi, expressed his condolences to the late Billi Mamza's bereaved family and the EYN as a whole for the great loss.

According to Fintiri, the late elder statesman lived a full life and left great children who have gone on to become leaders in society in all areas.

He prayed to God to grant the deceased soul eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the loss, like death, he believes, is unavoidable for all mortals.

The President of EYN, Reverend Joel Billi, responded on behalf of the bereaved family, thanking Governor Fintiri for empathizing with them during their time of grief.

Special prayers were offered to God, requesting that the deceased soul be granted eternal rest.

Similarly, the Governor assured immediate reconnection of the Hildi community in Hong Local Government Area to the national grid.

He made this known in response to the request by the community when he paid a condolence visit to the area over the demise of Reverend Stephen Billi Mamza.

Fintiri said his administration is unlike the immediate past All Progressives Congress, APC-led government in the state, as it is poised to fix things right.

He noted with dismay that the Hildi community has been in a blackout since after Boko Haram destruction of power stations and expressed the government’s readiness to fix the problem.

The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bashir Ahmad, Speaker Adamawa House of Assembly - Aminu Iya Abbas, Commissioners among other top government officials
