Gov. Fintiri Swears-In 21 New Local Government Caretaker Committees
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Thursday, swore-in newly appointed twenty one Local Government Caretaker Chairmen in Adamawa with a charge to them to prepare and deliver good governance to the people.
The Governor, who gave the charge at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola during the swearing-in ceremony of the caretaker chairmen, challenged them to be good ambassadors at the grassroots for the betterment of the present administration.
He urged them to take their duties diligently and carry everybody along.
He added that in 90 days local government elections will hold and called the attention of those who intend to contest to rally round PDP as his administration is a people-oriented government.
He congratulated the caretaker chairmen and urged people to continue to be loyal and supportive to his administration for the betterment of citizens of the state.
Responding on behalf of the chairmen, Professor Abubakar Abba Tahir, caretaker chairman Yola South, thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for giving them the privilege to serve the state promising to be loyal and diligent towards delivering the dividend of democracy in line with the developmental agenda of the present administration in the best interest of Adamawa people.Earlier, the State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu, had applauded the people of Adamawa for having faith in the PDP administration and urged the citizens to continue to support the PDP administration in the state.
The oath of office and allegiance were administered on the chairmen by the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
