New Bus For Abia Warriors Football Club

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has presented a new Coaster bus to the state-owned Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia.

Making the presentation Saturday at the Governor's Lodge, Aba, the Governor reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to the promotion of sports in the State and stated that the vehicle is to aid the club to ease their movements across the country.

The Governor charged the management of the club to ensure that the vehicle is put to proper use for the club and challenged them to continue to improve their rating in the Nigerian Premier League.

He described sports as a great unifying factor and noted that the people of Abia State are sports loving.

Responding, an elated Club Chairman, Pastor Emeka Inyama, thanked the Governor for the gift which he described as timely and assured the Governor that the new vehicle will surely motivate the club to pursue higher aspirations in the current football season. He assured further that the club will continue to make the state proud.

The event was also witnessed by the Secretary of the Club, Mr Esiaba Ebere.

The meeting, held at the Plateau State Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos was attended by the principal organs of the party: l NWC, PDP-GF, BOT, NASS Forum, Former Governors Forum, Former Ministers' Forum and other leaders of the party.
