NASME-YOGBO-UDEI BRANCH, GBAJIMBA-DAUDU ROADS TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE END OF 2023

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has given assurances that the construction of NASME-Yogbo-Udei-Branch Udei and Gbajimba-Daudu Roads will be completed before the end his tenure in 2023.

Governor Samuel Ortom spoke  Monday, January 10th, 2022 when he received a delegation of Isherev Communities from Makurdi and Guma Local Government Areas at the Benue People's House, Makurdi.

The Governor stated that the contractors who had gone on Christmas vacation will soon resume to the sites, stressing that work on the roads will be sustained with earth work, construction of bridges and culverts, laterite and application of tar.

He explained that the idea behind the construction of the roads was to open up the areas for enhanced economic activities and improve the security situation in the area.

The Governor stated that a formal flag-off of the construction of NASME-Yogbo-Udei-Branch Udei road will be done soon to dispel insinuations from opposition quarters that the Federal Government or World Bank is behind the road project.

Governor Ortom tasked the people of Isherev on unity of purpose, love for one another and also urged them to speak out about projects executed in their communities by his administration to correct the wrong impression peddled by the opposition.

Leader of the delegation and Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Matthew Mnyam, said the visit was to appreciate Governor Ortom for the projects he has executed in their communities and the appointments given their sons and daughters.
