Bayelsa Education Advancement: Governor Diri receives EDTF trained special needs teachers

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today, received teachers recently trained by the Education Development Trust Fund on signs language to provide training for students with special needs in the state.

The special needs teachers were trained at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Governor Diri while appreciating the EDTF for sponsoring the training of the teachers, also assured children with special needs in the state that government will prioritize their welfare.

The Governor seized the opportunity to offer automatic employment to all twelve teachers that have so far graduated out of the fifteen sent on training.

"Today again, adds up to the policies of this government, not to leave anyone behind in the education of our state, because, education is what it is all, for us to develop.

I'm happy seeing you, graduating from your training, and today, you also want to add to the growth and development of education in Bayelsa State," Governor Diri stated.
