Gov Eno Celebrates Akwa Ibom PDP Chairman on His Birthday

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has sent his birthday felicitations to the Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan.

In a message of felicitation released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno eulogized the  Party Chairman who, last Saturday, September, 14, 2024, was roundly re-elected  to a second term in office. 

Governor Eno described Elder Akpan as, “a consummate and dependable ally who, through the force of your  personality and organizational skills, has grown our Party to be even more dominant in our State; a Party that  has dispensed democractic dividends to our people."

“The most interesting aspect of your leadership of our party has been the great works you are doing to broaden the  appeal of our Party and bring new members into our fold." 

“As you turn a year older today, I ask God to grant  you more wisdom, good health  and fervor so you may continue to lead our Party to more successes and growth."

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
