PDP Governors’ Forum Felicitates Governor Dauda Lawal @ 59

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohamed CON, the Governor of Bauchi State and other member Governors celebrate with H.E. Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara State, as he turns 59 years today, September 2, 2024.

2.  The Forum joins the entire citizens of Zamfara State with gratitude to God Almighty for His care and protection on his life and family, and the graceful leading to pilot the affairs of State over a year now.

3.  We are glad to identify with the renewal projects of Governor Lawal which have brought a turnaround in the State, marked by achievements across numerous sectors including education, road infrastructure and urban renewal, agriculture and healthcare comprising primary and secondary service delivery which promotes affordable and accessible maternal and child healthcare amongst others. 

4.  Governor Lawal has applied a model of inclusivity in governance by creating effective feedback channels with the citizenry for effective deployment of services; as well as prioritized workers welfare and displayed commitment to a result-oriented work culture as a means to attain high productivity.

5.  His timely creation of the state security outfit, Community Protection Guards (CPG), designed to complement the efforts of the regular security forces, has turned things around generally; even as his administration has envisioned strategies for sustainable growth and development through agriculture. 

6.  With safety for farmers in place, his drive for mechanized farming is now realistic and in sync with the drive for investors which leverages on the support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) and an impactful empowerment scheme for women and youths. 

7.The PDP-GF on the occasion of this celebration acknowledges Governor Lawal's contributions to the growth of the PDP and the Forum in particular.

8.  We pray that God Almighty will continue to bless him and his family as well as bestow him with the wisdom to accomplish all his plans and programmes for the State.

Once again, we wish Governor Lawal a happy birthday anniversary and pledge our brotherly cooperation and unalloyed support at all times.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas. He warned mischief makers against needless court actions that are capable of delaying or frustrating the selection and installation of traditional rulers in the state.
