Gov.Fintiri visits the scene of the hospital fire incident

In a stark reminder that the flames of negligence can consume the hard-earned gains of society, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri paid a visit to the State Specialist Hospital in Jimeta-Yola, where a fire outbreak occurred late last night.

The incident, which marks the second time such a disaster, has struck the facility and has raised alarms over the safety of vital hospital equipment stored at the site.

Describing the hospital as a "collective heritage that should be collectively guarded," Governor Fintiri urged the public to be vigilant against saboteurs seeking to undermine the well-being of society.

He emphasized that while the incident is unfortunate, his administration remains steadfast in prioritizing the health sector to ensure the welfare of the people.

Governor Fintiri, alongside Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Auwal D. Tukur, inspected the building.
Adamawa State Health Commissioner, Felix Tangwami, noted that the building touched by the fire was a passive storage for equipment and, hence, will not hamper the provision of health services to the public.
