Taraba State Government Organizes Workshop for Public Servants

The Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, has tasked public servants and political officeholders to transform his vision into tangible actions that will positively impact the lives of Tarabans. 

The Governor stated this on the 2nd of September, 2023 while declaring open a two-day retreat for Public Servants and Political Office Holders.

The retreat with the theme "Taraba State: The Way Forward in a Globalizing World" took place at the C2C Conference Hall in Jalingo, Taraba state capital.

The retreat was aimed at equipping participants with the latest techniques and aligning their strategies with the Agbu Kefas administration's five-finger development plan.

Governor Agbu Kefas encouraged participants to utilize the opportunity to engage with each other, critically think about the state's current strategies, and share ideas that will advance the state.

He also pointed out the importance of upholding the principles of integrity, accountability, and service, which will guide them in effectively discharging their duties.

In his remarks, the Head of Service of Taraba state, Mr Paul Tino, said Public Servants and Political office holders are very critical tools through which dividends of democracy are delivered to the electorates.

The Head of Service said the skills and experience that will be shared during the retreat will strengthen collaboration and improve synergy in all works of life and rejig the service.

He told the Participants to demonstrate a strong commitment to actualize government initiatives to inculcate an efficient, productive, incorruptible culture in the public service.

Lead Facilitator, at the retreat, Barr Kanu Agabi SAN, urged Participants to maintain their passion for their Jobs, commit to continuous self-improvement, and partner with the Governor to drive the state's development.

While extolling Governor Agbu Kefas' exemplary leadership qualities, Kanu Agabi, appealed to well-meaning Tarabans to invest in the state's growth, emphasizing that its development lies in their collective efforts, as no external body will drive progress if they choose not to take action.
